After 11 years, I've made the difficult decision to place Sweet Ava's Paper on hiatus. If you've been around for a while, you know this isn't the first time I've talked about closing the shop. Over the past few years, I've tried just about everything I could think of to keep Sweet Ava's Paper going. I've announced closures, switched to printables, brought back physical sticker sheets, introduced new products, redesigned the shop, and continued creating new collections. The reality is that despite all of those efforts, the shop is no longer receiving the sales needed to support the amount of time, work, and expenses that go into running it. Between designing, printing, cutting, packaging, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting production issues, and trying to find time for marketing, I simply can't give Sweet Ava's Paper the attention it deserves. As many of you know, I also run Sew Some Magic, my handmade accessories business. Over time, that shop has grown significantly and requires more and more of my attention. After a lot of thought, I've decided it's time to focus my efforts there rather than continuing to split my time between both businesses. http://www.SewSomeMagic.com If you currently have an open order, please don't worry. Sweet Ava's Paper is being placed on hiatus, and while I don't have any plans to reopen at this time, I haven't completely closed the door on returning someday.
